The US Army Corps of Engineers awarded MRM Construction Services a $1.5 million contract to construct a new interim Border Patrol checkpoint for the United States Department of Homeland Security near Tubac, Arizona.

The checkpoint facility itself will be 115 feet long, 105 feet wide and 40 feet tall from the road surface to the apex of the fabric and steel canopy structure. The canopy will be fitted with lighting systems to provide for the safety and security of Border Patrol officers, and the fabric covering will assist with temperature regulation and protection from the elements.
